As indicated by the title, this guide to UOACZ is going to be, well...monstrously large.

We'll be putting the entire thing into Wiki format, but I just wanted to get this out there now so players have a reference, albeit unwieldy, for the system. So here goes...

    UOACZ Commands (for easy reference)
[H Send message in Human Chat Channel
[U Send message in Undead Chat Channel
[UOACZShowHumanChat Enable/Disable Displaying of Human Chat Channel messages
[UOACZShowUndeadChat Enable/Disable Displaying of Undead Chat Channel messages

[UOACZShowSurvivalTome Brings up the Human Survival Tome gump
[UOACZShowCorruptionTome Brings up the Undead Corruption Tome gump
[UOACZShowHumanHotbar Brings up the Human Abilities Hotbar
[UOACZShowUndeadHotbar Brings up the Undead Abilities Hotbar
[UOACZShowHumanStats Brings up the Human Stats Gump
[UOACZShowUndeadStats Brings up the Undead Stats Gump
[UOACZShowObjectives Brings up the Objectives Gump

[UOACZHotbarLeft *Navigates the player's active Abilities Hotbar to the previous page
[UOACZHotbarRight *Navigates the player's active Abilities Hotbar to the next page
[UOACZAbility1 *Activates the ability displayed in the 1st slot of the Ability Hotbar

[UOACZAbility3 *Activates the ability displayed in the 3rd slot of the Ability Hotbar
[UOACZAbility4 *Activates the ability displayed in the 4th slot of the Ability Hotbar
[UOACZAbility5 *Activates the ability displayed in the 5th slot of the Ability Hotbar

*Denotes a command players will very likely want to create a macro to utilize for gameplay

    UOACZ Gameplay Summary

UOACZ is a unique gameplay facet to the An Corp server in which players partake in a weekly game of survival, conquest, teamwork, and intrigue.

Gameplay is broken down into "sessions", which begin once every week at a preset time (currently Saturdays at 2pm CST), and will typically last from 2-6 hours depending on the actions of the players involved.

UOACZ is also unique in that players do not need to have 7xGM or even moderately developed characters to participate: all players start out every UOACZ session each week on the same footing as everyone else and all players are reset to a default set of values for stats / skills / abilities. A player can even log in to the server for the first time as a Young player and join a UOACZ session and actively participate just as well as a server veteran would.

Notably, within UOACZ players do not gain stats and skills in the normal method players are accustomed to. Instead of gaining through repeated usage, Human players increase their stats and skill when they purchase Upgrades and Undead players increase their sats and skills by transforming into different Monster Forms that have preset stats and skills. Players earn Upgrade Points through accomplishing tasks, as loot on killing NPCs, and rewards for various activities.

Players entering the UOACZ world arrive as Humans and are given a set of Objectives to accomplish with the goal of achieving a Human Victory. However, players have an attribute known as Humanity, which diminishes as the player suffers various setbacks in world, and should the player ever reach 0 Humanity, they will transform and become an Undead Player with their own set of Objectives to accomplish.

Participation in UOACZ will earn players UOACZ Reward Points that can be spent on unique decorations or even items such as Silver weapons. There are also over 80 Achievements possible for a wide variety of different tasks in the system, giving players a multitude of opportunities to show off their progress and expertise.

    Getting Started

The UOACZ Stone can be found at the West Britain Bank. The time of the next UOACZ session will be displayed by single clicking the stone or can be found within UOACZ Stone's gump

Moongates leading to the UOACZ world open up around Britain when a UOACZ session is underway. Double click to enter the UOACZ world.

    Playing as a Human

While in the UOACZ world, Human players speech will be hidden to Undead Players and vice versa. There are chat channels for each type of player as well, accessible by the following commands. It is highly recommend for new players to utilize these chat channels

    [H Human Chat Channel
    [U Undead Chat Channel

Players can also toggle the displaying of messages from other players in these channels on and off with the following commands:

    [UOACZShowHumanChat
    [UOACZShowUndeadChat

Players entering the UOACZ world will have their normal character items / stats / skills stored into a "snapshot" and will enter the UOACZ world with a predefined collection of clothing, survival items, and stats / skills. Players will, however, be able to discover "Unlockables" that allow them to customize the starting look of their character with blessed clothing and unique color dyes.

Exiting the UOACZ world will restore their character's original items, equipment, and stats /skills

The player's starting clothing, survival machete (low-quality cutlass), tomes, crafting tools, and packs are all blessed. Any blessed item placed into a blessed container in UOACZ will not be lost on death. Note: Any starting crafting materials, reagents, bandages a player received are not blessed and will drop on death even if stored within a blessed container

Human players manage their stats, skills, and abilities through usage of a blessed Survival Tome

    The Survival Tome gump

Clicking the Show Stats, Show Abilities, and Show Objectives buttons in the Survival Tome will bring up those respective gumps. These gumps are draggable, interactive, and exceptionally useful to players

Players can click on the "Info" button next to a listing for an Ability the player has acquired to see a description of what the ability will do as well as what it's normal cooldown duration is. This can be done on the Abilities Hotbar as well as within the Survival Tome

Clicking the "More Info" button in the Survival Tome displays additional information about your Human Profile such as your current Hunger / Thirst / Humanity / Honor levels and any current penalties in place as a result of them

Clicking the "Stats and Skills" button will show the player's current stat and skill values. If their player is suffering from low enough Hunger or Thirst levels, values for these skills will be penalized and their modified values will be displayed in the Modified column

Players can click the miniature version of the Survival Tome icon in the Stats Hotbar gump to bring up the main Survival Tome gump (as an alternative to double clicking the Survival Tome item in your backpack)

Clicking the "Spend Upgrade" button in the Survival Tome will bring up the Purchase Upgrades gump where players spend Upgrade Points to purchase Upgrades. Upgrades are the means in which players improve their Stats and Skills as well as unlock unique Abilities

Players are always presented with three possible Upgrade options available to purchase. However, if the player is unsatisfied with these available options, they may click the "Shuffle Upgrades" button and spend a Survival Point to be presented with three new Upgrades available for purchase.

Clicking the "Purchase This Upgrade" button will purchase the Upgrade Option the player has currently selected and will cost 1 Upgrade Point. They will receive the stats / skills and ability listed on the upgrade gump for the selected Upgrade.

If the player has previously acquired this same ability before, the ability's normal cooldown duration will be reduced for the player. This can be accomplished multiple times until a certain minimum duration on the ability has been reached.

    Human Abilities

Abilities can be activated by clicking on the square-shaped Bow/Axe Icon next to an ability listing, provided it is Ready (doesn't have a cooldown remaining). This can be accomplished from both the Abilities Hotbar and the Abilities listing within the Survival Tome.

Activating an ability costs 10 mana, and there is a cooldown that must past before that same ability can be used again once activated.

Players can use the following commands, rather than clicking the icons, to activate abilities in the respective Abilities Hotbar slot.

    [UOACZAbility1
    [UOACZAbility2
    [UOACZAbility3
    [UOACZAbility4
    [UOACZAbility5

If a player has more than 5 abilities acquired, they can click the arrows above the Ability Hotbar to navigate to different pages of abilities.

Players can also use the following commands, rather than clicking the arrows, to navigate the Ability Hotbar pages

    [UOACZHotbarLeft
    [UOACZHotbarRight

It is highly recommended to make a macro for these commands

    Human Survival

Scavengeable Debris can be found around town. Players double click them to search their contents, and players have a limited number of search attempts on each object

    Item retrieved from Scavengable Debris

Players may also find Scavengable Containers, some of which may be locked. Players may utilize the Lockpicking skill and use Lockpick Kits on the container to attempt to retrieve it's contents

Alternatively, players may simply try to bash open a locked container by double clicking it, which may take some time

In the wilderness, players will encounter Harvestable Vegetation, which is double clicked and searched for food items. Having the Camping skill greatly increases the chance of successful yields

Cotton plants are also found in the wild and successful search attempts will yield Cotton. Having the Camping skill greatly increases the chance of successful yields

Cotton found on Cotton Plants, and Wool found from killing certain wildlife creatures, can be converted into Bolts of Cloth with a sewing kit

Players will come across Fishing Spots, which are locations where players can make fishing attempts. Players must have a fishing pole equipped and then either double click the Fishing Spot, or double click the fishing pole and then target the location. Having Fishing skill greatly increases the chance of successful yields

Fish gathered from fishing spots can be double clicked to convert them into raw fish steaks

Players will come across Large Ore Formations, where mining is possible. Players must have a Pickaxe equipped, and can double click the ore formation to begin harvesting. Having Mining skill greatly increases the chance of successful yields

Successful mining attempt on a Large Ore Formation. Anvil and forges can be found in many mountainous regions in the UOACZ world

Reagents, used in Alchemy, can be found on the ground in the wilderness

Fresh water can be found on the ground and gathered by double clicking it, provided the player has an empty Bottle, Glass, or Water Tub available to collect the water

Some Debris Containers may be trapped. Players may actively try to avoid unknown traps on a container by using the Remove Trap skill on it beforehand. Additionally, having the Remove Trap skill will also boost a player's passive chance to avoid triggering a trap

Other harvestable objects, such as Iron Ore Formations, Cotton Plants, Harvestable Vegetation, and Fishing Spots may be "trapped' as well, but will only ever result in the player "drawing too much attention via noise" and thereby summoning undead nearby to attack them. The Remove Trap skill will passively reduce the chance of this occurring to a player

There are five Stockpiles located in the UOACZ world where Human Players may store items for safekeeping. Stockpiles are secure and players will only see items that they themselves have stored in a Stockpile. Additionally items stored at one Stockpile will be accessible at any other Stockpile (functioning like a bank). Players have an item limit of 15 items that may be stored in a Stockpile, although this may be increased with some abilities.

Throughout the course of a UOACZ session, Human Civilian NPCs may contribute items to Human player's stockpiles, with items generally related to that particular Civilian's type (Bakers contributing bread items or Blacksmiths contributing weapons).

Player must have enough space in their Stockpile to accept items giving by Civilians, so players should take care to save some space to take advantage of this. Players will receive a notification if they have received any items from Civilians, so they should check their Stockpiles occasionally to see what they have received, which will vary from player to player.

Additionally, players should consider storing some backup items, especially food and water, in their stockpile as contingency should they die and be unable to retrieve items from their corpse.

Stockpiles are attackable by Undead Players and undead creatures, and players will receive notifications when particular Stockpiles have taken certain levels of damage. Once a Stockpile has reached 0 durability, it is permanently destroyed.

Note: A player's Stockpile items are shared across and accessible via any and all Stockpiles, meaning that as long as at least one Stockpile still exists, players still have the ability to access items they have deposited at any Stockpile

    Hunger, Thirst, and Humanity

In UOACZ, players lose both 10 Hunger and 10 Thirst every 5 minutes.

If a player hits either 0 Hunger or 0 Thirst, they will die and suffer a large hit to their Humanity level (explained later). Provided this loss of Humanity doesn't cause the player to turn Undead (also explained later), they will be brought back to life with 50 points in Hunger/Thirst.

Players suffer a -1% stat penalty for each missing point of Hunger below 80.
Players suffer a -1% skill penalty for each missing point of Thirst below 80.

Whenever a player's Hunger or Thirst level changes, they will display overhead text showing the current / max amounts. Additionally, they will display a system message, which will also indicate any penalties they are current experiencing at their current levels.

The specific penalty amounts for Hunger and Thirst can also be viewed in the Survival Tome additional information page

Human players will also be granted a free Upgrade Point every 20 minutes of gameplay

Additionally, players will find Upgrade Tokens as loot on monsters and as rewards for doing positive actions such as repairing walls/objects, attacking enemy objectives, and sometimes as rare loot while scavenging / harvesting. Double-clicking an Upgrade Token will consume it and increase your Upgrade Point total by 1.

Players will also find Survival Stones in the same manner as upgrade tokens and can be double-clicked to increase your Survival Points by 1

Eating food items will restore hunger to varying degrees. The * symbol next to the word "Hunger" in the Stat Hotbar indicates the player currently is below 80 Hunger and is therefore currently suffering from some amount of stat loss

Drinking liquids will restore Thirst to varying degrees. The * symbol next to the word "Thirst" in the Stats Hotbar indicates the player currently is below 80 Thirst and is therefore currently suffering from some amount of skill loss

Players can kill and skin wildlife (using any single-handed bladed weapon) to receive a handful of items including raw meat

Players eating raw meat / raw poultry / raw fish will suffer -1 Humanity for doing so. Cooking these items will eliminate this penalty.

Wildlife may become "Corrupted" by Undead players / Undead creature and will turn a sickly green color, as well as become aggressive and sometimes poisonous

Killing and carving a Corrupted wildlife animal will result in "Corrupted" meat items appearing

Eating a Corrupted Meat /Poultry item, even if cooked, will result in -2 Humanity. Players with the Alchemy skill may be able to purify these Corrupted Meat items and return them to normal versions

Cooking raw meat / poultry / fish into various cooked items will remove the normal -1 Humanity penalty raw items normally would incur. Players can use any single-handed bladed weapon on a tree to gather kindling. Double click the kindling to start a fire, and then use a Skillet to begin cooking

Humanity (Continued), Honor, Death, and Becoming an Undead Player

When a player dies, they will normally lose some amount of Humanity. If they have more than 0 Humanity remaining afterwards, they will resurrect at a random location within the town still as a Human Player, retaining any blessed items in their packs and blessed equipment on them. Humanity losses from death are as follows:

Death By a Human Player: -10 Humanity
Death By Thirst or Starvation: -40 Humanity
    Any Other Death: -20 Humanity

In addition to losing Humanity for eating raw / corrupted meats or dying, players will also lose Humanity for attacking and killing other Human Players and Human Civilians / Militia.

Killing a Human Civilian or Militia NPC will result in a loss of 10 Humanity.
Killing a Human Player will result in a loss of 25 Humanity.

When a Human Player loses Humanity in this fashion, they will also lose an equal amount of Honor points. If a player is at 50 Honor or below, they will flag as Orange to all Human players and are freely attackable by them.

When a player hits 0 Humanity, they "Transform" and become an Undead Player, with a zombie NPC placed at the location of their death. They are immediately warped to a randomized location in the wilderness and take on their current Monster Tier Level 1 Undead Form and begin gameplay as an Undead Player.

    Crafting Skills
All crafting tables have been completely redone in terms of resources needed and skill requirements for UOACZ. Players also receive a bonus to repairing damaged objects (fort walls / the outpost) based upon the highest of their skill values in Blacksmithing / Carpentry / Tinkering.

    Alchemy

Players can use Alchemy to make the standard assortment of Cure, Heal, Refresh, Strength, Agility potions. Nightsight, Poison, Explosion potions have been removed and replaced with:

    - Lesser Confusion Potion : Fully paralyze nearby hostile targets within 2 tiles for 5 seconds
    - Greater Confusion Potion: Fully paralyze nearby hostile targets within 4 tiles for 8 seconds
    - Lesser Truestrike Potion: Increase Melee Hit % Chance by 5% for 2 minutes
    - Greater Truestrike Potion: Increase Melee Hit % Chance by 10% for 2 minutes
    - Oil Flask: Creates a large number of oil locations at target that can be ignited by a torch

Players can also use Alchemy to purify Corrupted Meats to transform them back to normal versions of meat

    Blacksmithing

Normal assortment of weapons / armor, however all items of a similar type now have the same skill range used to craft it (i.e all Platemail items have a range of 35-60 skill).

    Bowcraft / Fletching

Normal assortment of items with the notable introduction of the Hunting Snare, which uses Rope (can be looted or made with Tailoring) and Logs, and can be placed to entangle monsters / players

    Carpentry

Can make normal carpentry weapons / items as well as Wooden Swords and Wooden Kite Shields and all Staves. Players can make Bowls (used in cooking), Torches (can be thrown at monsters or thrown to ignite oil), Empty Water Tubs (can hold a very large amount of water), Fishing Poles, and Camping Firepits (can be used to provide regen boosts in a large radius).

    Cooking

Food and Drink play a very important role in UOACZ, as a player begins to suffer from temporary Statloss and Skill loss when their Hunger and Thirst values drop below 80. Statloss is -1% for each missing point of Hunger below 80 and Skill Loss is -1% for each missing point of Thirst below 80.

While many basic foods can be found as loot, a large number of foods can only be acquired by crafting them via Cooking. These crafted foods restore a larger amount of Hunger than most basic foods, and some foods that utilize herbs in their recipe will also restore hit points upon consumption.

Raw Meat, acquired by skinning an animal or fishing, will drop a player's humanity by 1 point when eaten unless it is cooked. Corrupted Meat, acquired by skinning an Animal that has been Corrupted, will drop a player's humanity by 2 points when eaten, even if cooked. Players can use the Alchemy skill to convert Corrupted versions of meat back to their normal forms.

When players consume liquids, they will receive an empty container of the liquid if they consume the last charge on the items (some liquids only have 1 charge however).

    Tailoring
Tailoring has a large number of new items including a Bolt of Cloth (which can be made with Wool or Cotton), Bedrolls, Nets (can be thrown at a target), Rope (used in Nets / Hunting Snares), Backpacks / Bags / Pouches. Players can also as a last ditch resort craft individual bandages from intestines looted from monsters.

Normal Bone Armor and Reinforced Bone Armor are two higher-level armor types craftable with the Tailoring skill, and have significant Armor Rating and no dexterity penalty in UOACZ.

In order to craft Regular Bone Armor, players must find a piece of Crude Bone Armor, which drops as loot on undead creatures, and then combine it with leather and intestines via Tailoring. Reinforced Bone Armor, in turn, takes a piece of Regular Bone Armor, Leather, and Intestines to craft via Tailoring as well.

    Tinkering

Tinkering can be used to make any standard crafting tool available in UOACZ as well as Lockpick Kits and Repair Hammers (used to repair fort walls / the outpost). Players can build tinkering traps with Iron Wire and Springs/Gears which have a very long duration in UOACZ compared to the normal world (60 minutes). These Traps are fairly powerful and can be used to kill a large number of undead in an area (good for placing near forts).

Players can also build Fortifications with Tinkering, which currently consists of Boiling Oil Cauldrons. These Fortifications can be placed at either of the Town Fort Locations on the star-shaped tiles labled "Construction Tile". A player who crafts a Fortification AND places it on an open Construction Tile, receives both a free Upgrade Token and Survival Token for doing so.

Once Fortifications are placed and repaired to normal status, they can be used to pour oil over a large area near the Fortification (which then if lit by a torch, will cause a lot of damage to creatures via fire fields). Each Fortification has a 5 minute cooldown upon usage, but can be used indefinitely once placed.

    Survival Skills

    Camping

The main use of Camping in UOACZ is to increase the success chance of harvesting items from Scavengeable Vegetation that spawns in the wilderness, which is a very good source of food / reagents. Camping also increases the success chance of harvesting Cotton from Cotton Plants, which can in turn be transformed into a bolt of cloth with the Tailoring skill.

Additionally, players can create Bedrolls with the Tailoring skill and players can use the Camping skill to increase the speed at which they are able to log out using a Bedroll.

    Fishing

In order to fish in UOACZ, players must locate a "fishing spot" which is indicated by an area of water that has a handful of fish swimming in close proximity. Players then equip a fishing pole, double click the fishing pole, and then target near the fishing spot. Upon pulling in fish, they can double click them to turn the fish into raw fish steaks.

    Lumberjacking

Functions largely as normal, with the notable exception that all wood-based crafting objects in UOACZ use logs (boards have been removed to streamline things). Players doing lumberjacking should look for "living" trees, as many of the dark-colored trees on the map are likely not flagged as harvestable.

    Mining

In order to mine ore in UOACZ, players must locate Ore Formation objects, which spawn alongside mountains and at large rocky outcroppings. Players must have a pickaxe equipped and then double click the Ore Formation to make harvest attempts on the Ore Formation. A good number of forge/anvils have been placed around the world for players to smelt ore at.

    Lockpicking

Some scavengable containers in town may be locked, and players will either need to bash the chest open by double clicking it (which may take a while). Alternatively, they can try to use a Lockpicking Kit and the Lockpicking Skill and attempt to bypass the lock and make harvest attempts on the container.

    Remove Trap

Scavengable Debris and Containers may potentially be "trapped" which may result in explosions / poison / paralysis, or the undead spawning nearby. Cotton Plants, Vegetation, Fishing Spots, and Ore Formations may also be "trapped", but will only ever result in spawning undead (i.e they wont cause explosions / poison / paralysis).

Players may use the Remove Trap skill to preemptively attempt to "disarm" these objects and become immune to their trap-effects / prevent spawns. If they don't actively attempt to use this skill, they still have a passive chance to avoid triggering "traps" upon activating these objects, based upon their Remove Trap Skill, and players will receive an overhead message indicating when their instincts tells them that they have avoided triggering a "trap".

    Tracking

    Functions as normal

    Combat Skills

    Archery

Functions as normal, with the notable exception that ammunition recovery rates are greatly increased in UOACZ. Players receive 2 Arrows or 2 Bolts for each feather + shaft used when crafting ammunition.

    Swords / Macing / Fencing / Wrestling / Tactics / Parry / Anatomy / Arms Lore

Functions as normal for human players.

For Undead players, Tactics is not used to determine damage. Instead, Undead players have Minimum Damage and Maximum Damage values, which can be viewed inside a player's Corruption Tome. An Undead player's Minimum Damage and Maximum Damage will increase as they take on higher Monster Tier Level Forms.

Additionally, Undead players will never inflict standard weapon special attacks in combat (which normally would be the Stun effect via Wrestling). Human players will inflict standard weapon special attacks on Undead Creatures, Human Civilians/Milita, and Wildlife creatures as normaly, but will not inflict them on other Human Players or Undead Players.

    Healing
Functions largely as normal with the following exceptions:
    - Bandaging durations are a flat 10 seconds for self bandaging and for bandaging others
    - All bandaging actions receive +10 to hit points restored

While not directly related to the Healing skill, per se, the Regen Rates of Hit Points and Stamina in UOACZ are greatly increased compared to the normal game world.

    Meditation
Activating any Ability in UOACZ, either as Human or Undead, costs 10 mana. A player's Meditation skill increases the rate at which mana regenerates.

There is no active meditation in UOACZ, only passive meditation, but wearing platemail or any armor does not affect a Human Player's meditation rates in UOACZ. Additionally, Undead Player's meditation rates are not affect by their Armor stat value.

    Removed Skills

    Hiding / Stealth

Both Hiding and Stealth have been removed as active-use skills in UOACZ, however there are a handful of abilities for both Humans and Undead that players can use instead to go hidden. Additionally, whenever a player uses one of these abiltiies, they are given a number of freebie stealth steps that they can immediately use. Players in UOACZ who use these freebie stealth steps while hidden can both run while stealthing AND walk over other players / creatures without revealing themselves. Stealth steps made in UOACZ have no skill check and no chance of failure.

Additionally, stealth backstab is disabled in UOACZ, although some abilities may grant a similar effect to this.

    Poisoning

As the Undead are immune to poison, there is no need for this skill in UOACZ.

Magery / Eval Int / Inscription

At the moment, Spellcasting does not exist in UOACZ, as players survive using their wits, gear / tools, and a lot of abilities. This may change in the future however.

    Stealing / Snooping

Stealth / Snooping do not exist in UOACZ, and if players wish to take items from another player, they are going to have to take them by force (and subsequently suffer Humanity / Honor loss for killing other human players).

    Other Removed Skills

Animal Taming / Animal Lore / Herding
    ItemId
    Begging
    Peacemaking / Provocation / Discordance / Musicianship
    Detect Hidden / Forensic Eval
    Spirit Speak

    Other Notable Mechanics

Magical Weapons and Armor as well as Crude Bone Armor and Crude Bone Weapons will sometimes drop as loot on Undead creatures.

Crude Bone Weapons are low-quality weapons, but still slightly better than the player's blessed Survival Machete that they start with.

Crude Bone Armor is equivalent to Leather in terms of quality, and is required by Tailors to make regular Bone Armor, and Reinforced Bone Armor

Intestines will sometimes drop as loot on Undead Creatures, and these are utilized in a handful of Tailoring crafting recipes, include Regular and Reinforced Bone Armor, making Rope (which is used in turn to build Throwing Nets with tailoring or Hunting Snares with bowcraft), and can even be used with Tailoring to craft individual bandages

Tunnels will continuously open up around the UOACZ gameworld, and both Human and Undead Players may utilize them as a means of quick travel or to potentially escape persuing creatures / players

A Tunnel in the wilderness will lead to a random location in town, and a Tunnel in town will lead to a random location in the wilderness. A Tunnel immediately closes after a player uses it, but any followers they have (as a Undead Player) will follow them through the tunnel.

Most Fort / Outpost walls have 4 different stages of damage: broken, heavily damaged, lightly damaged, and normal. Each stage of damage level has a different visual look to them, but players can click on any wall to see its specific durability. When at 0 Durability, both Players and Creatures can walk over the wall.

At the various Forts in the game, players will encounter Construction Locations. Players may use the Tinkering skill to construct Boiling Oil Cauldrons and then place them on these tiles.

Once placed, players then use a Repair Hammer to repair the slotted cauldron until it is in a usable state. If a player both crafted as well as placed the cauldron, they will receive an Upgrade Token, a Survival Token, and 10 Human Score points for doing so.

The Cauldron can then be used every 5 minutes to pour oil over the wall

Oil locations can be created on the ground when players throw Oil Flasks or activate a constructed Boiling Oil Cauldron at a Fort.

When players throw a Torch (by double clicking it) at an oil location, it will ignite all nearby oil locations and create very damaging firefields. Note: Human-created firefields will not damage other humans players or NPCs, and Undead-created firefields will not damage other undead players or undead NPCs

Players enter the UOACZ world via black Moongates in Britain, and they exit UOACZ either automatically when a session ends, or by activating a Moongate within the UOACZ world. There are many moongates in town and a good number of Moongates in the wilderness, including one in each corner of the map. There is a 5 minute delay to reenter a moongate once exiting/leaving one.

When a player exits a moongate, their UOACZ profile is stored as a snapshot for the account and all items / stats / skills / abilities for the player (both Human and Undead info) are recorded. The player is then returned to the regular game world with their original gear / stats / skills restored.

Notably: If you enter UOACZ with Player A on your account and then leave UOACZ with Player A on your account, and then choose later to return during the same session, but enter with Player B on your same account, player B will adopt all the same UOACZ stats/skills/abilities as well as backpack items and equipped gear (if in Human Form) that Player A had in UOACZ.

All profile information in UOACZ, including backpack and equipped items, is shared across your account.

    Playing as Undead

When a Human player hits 0 Humanity, they transform into an Undead player. Their inventory is wiped save for an Undead Corruption Tome and their old Human Survival Tome.

Undead Players have restrictions in place preventing them from adding items to their backpack, opening corpses, and interacting with normal objects like torches / crafting tools or even world objects such as Gate Doors. They may use tunnels, however.

Double clicking the Corruption Tome will bring up a variety of information and options for playing as an Undead player including which "Monster Form" they are currently in, and the ability to view Abilities / Stats / Skills and purchase Upgrades

Similarly to playing as a Human, Undead Players have three hotbars available to them which are brought up by pressing the Show Stats / Show Abilities / Show Objectives Hotbars buttons in the Corruption Tome gump

Each Undead player will inhabit a Monster Form, with each form having its own preset Stats, Skills, and Abilities assigned to it. Additionally, all Monster Forms have access to several generic abilities as well.

Similar to human abilities, players can click on the "Info" button next to any Undead Ability listing to see information about the ability as well as it's normal cooldown duration.

By clicking on the "More Info" button in the Corruption Tome, Undead players can navigate pages in the tome, and view information on Stats unique to Undead players such as Monster Tier, Damage, Armor, and Swarm Size

Monster Tier: Represents the Undead player's estimated power level and dictates what Undead Forms are available to them

Damage: Undead Players will always have 100 Tactics, but since they will never equip weapons, this stat represents how much damage they will do with melee attacks. Each Monster Form will have a different value for this

Armor: Undead Armor is treated slightly differently than player armor, as Undead Players will never equip physical armor items. This stat represents their general level of melee damage mitigation

Swarm Size: Undead players will recruit Undead creatures as followers through use of abilities, and this stat represents how many followers they currently have and how many maximum followers they can control at once (similar to tamer control slots)

An Undead Player's Swarm Size (current / maximum) is also viewable in the Undead Stats Hotbar. Similarly to the human stats hotbar, clicking the miniature Corruption Tome icon will bring up the main Corruption Tome gump (as if they had double-clicked the item in their backpack)

Undead Abilities function similarily to players, and also take 10 mana to activate.
Players can also utilize the same commands as Human players to activate Undead abilities rather than clicking on the respective icons:

    [UOACZAbility1
    [UOACZAbility2
    [UOACZAbility3
    [UOACZAbility4
    [UOACZAbility5

An Undead player uses the Recruit Zombie skill and creates a zombie which then joins their Swarm

Upgrades, Corruption Points, and Monster Tier Levels

Undead players will earn Undead Upgrade Points for various actions / accomplishments, and these will be used to improve your Undead Player. Double-clicking the item will increase your available Upgrade Points by 1

Undead players will also earn Corruption Points for various actions / accomplishments, and these are used to alter your Undead Form.

Double clicking the item will increase your available Corruption Points by 1

Players improve or alter their Undead Form through the "Spend Upgrades" page of the Corruption Tome.

Undead Players can take on over 35 different Monster Forms, which are organized into Monster Tier Levels. There are 5 Monster Tier Levels, and each Tier Level has 7 different Monster Forms within it. Each Monster Form has its own unique set of Stats, Skills, and Abilities, with increasingly powerful abilities and stats/skills found among the higher Monster Tiers.

Every time a player reaches a new Monster Tier Level, they immediately become a randomized Monster Form within that tier, including the moment they initially transform from a Human Player to an Undead player.

Players can also elect to transform to a random, different Monster Form of the same Monster Tier Level they are at by spending a Corruption Point and clicking the "Transform to Different, Randomized Tier X Monster" button.

Doing so will immediately transform the Undead Player into a randomized Monster Form within the current Monster Tier Level.

Undead players become more powerful by increasing their Monster Tier Level and taking on more powerful Forms. Each subsequent Monster Tier level requires more Upgrade Points to unlock, with costs of 4, 8, 12, 16 Upgrade Points for Tiers 2, 3, 4, and 5 respectively.

Increasing a player's Monster Tier Level can be done on the "Spend Upgrades" page of the Corruption Tome with the "Upgrade to Monster Tier X" button.

When a player increases their Monster Tier Level, they are immediately transformed into a randomized Monster Form at that new Monster Tier Level.

As a reminder, similarly to Human players, Undead players may have several pages of abilities available in their Abilities Hotbar, and clicking the arrow above the gump will navigate the ability pages to access additional abilities if available.

They may also use the following commands, instead of clicking the arrows, to navigate Ability Hotbar pages:

    [UOACZHotbarLeft
    [UOACZHotbarRight

    Undead Abilities and Loot

Undead players have several default abilities available to all Monster Forms:

Regeneration: Increases player's health regen by 100% for 60 seconds
Sacrifice: Player takes 25% of maximum health as damage to heal all nearby followers in their swarm by 25%
    Gift of Corruption:
Kill a nearby Corrupted Wildlife creature to receive score points and potential rewards
Creep: Target a scavengable/harvestable object to place a trap on it and receive score points and potential rewards
Dig: Immediately move yourself and all followers in your swarm to a randomized location within the human town

An Undead player uses the Creep ability on a Cotton Plant and receives a Corruption Stone and Upgrade Token as a reward as well as increasing their Undead Score by 2 points

[IMG] An Undead player uses the Gift of Corruption ability on a Corrupted Wildlife creature and receives an Upgrade Token as a reward as well as increasing their Undead Score by 2 points

Players may also come across Brains items as reward loot. There are 4 different types of Brains available, each having a 60 second cooldown between usage:

Red Brains: Heals 25 of maximum hit points
Blue Brains: Restores 50% of maximum mana
Yellow Brains: Restores 25% of all nearby swarm followers hit points
Grey Brains: Reduces all your ability cooldowns by 20% of their normal amount

Undead players can earn score points, and potential reward items as well, by attacking wildlife creatures and corrupting them. Each melee attack by the player or any of their swarm followers has a random chance at corrupting a wildlife creature

Attacking Human Civilians and Human Militia is another potential source of score points and rewards

Attacking the walls of forts and the Human Outpost is another source of score and rewards

Attacking Human Stockpile containers are another source of score and rewards as well

    Gameplay Objectives

Each side of a UOACZ session, the Human Players and the Undead Players, have their own set of Objectives they are trying to accomplish. A session ends when either the Humans or Undead players have completed at least 3 of their possible 5 Objectives.

Players can view progress towards Objectives for both sides by clicking the "Show Objectives Hotbar" button in either the Survival Tome or Corruption Tome. An Objective that has been completed will be in green text.

In addition to moving their side closer to victory, completion of Objectives will grant all players on that side a reward unique to the particular Objective completed.

Players can click on the arrow next to either side's Objectives in the Objectives gump to collapse the tree list

    Human Objectives

Human Objective: Destroy the Corruption Source Stone

Location: Northeast corner of map in a large undead palace

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Human Players will also receive 3 Upgrade Points and will restore 20 Humanity

Human players can double click the Corruption Sourcestone and begin to attack it. When it reaches 0 Durability, it is destroyed.

    Human Objective: Build the Outpost

    Location: Northwest corner of map

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Human Players will also receive 3 Upgrade Points as well as a backpack full of various supplies

Players can double click Repair Hammers and repair adjacent walls/objects. Once each wall object of the outpost has been repaired to full strength, the Objective is marked off as complete for the humans.

Note: once it has been completed, attacks on the outpost by the undead will not "undo" the objective completion, and further attacks against the outpost will have a lower chance than normal to reward the Undead player with score/items they normally would receive for attacking any walls/objects

Human Objective: Gather 1000 Bones to Perform a Warding Ritual

    Location: Center of town

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Human Players will also receive 3 Upgrade Points and will restore 20 Humanity

Players will find Bones as loot on the corpses of Undead that have been killed by players (undead counted as being killed by civilians / militia will not drop Bones or other loot). Players can drop these Bones into a Bone Collection box in the center of town. Once 1000 bones have been deposited, the Objective is completed.

Human Objective: Slay the Undead Champion (The Tree of Death)

Location: Northeast section of map, south of Corruption Sourcestone

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Human Players will also receive 4 Upgrade Points. A variety of magical gear will drop on the monster's corpse.

At the 2 hour mark of the session, an Undead Champion will spawn in a tomb in the wilderness. If the Human players kill this champion, they will complete this Objective.

Human Objective: Slay the Undead Boss (The Gatekeeper)

Location: Tomb in center of town

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Human Players will also receive 5 Upgrade Points. A large variety of magical gear will drop on the monster's corpse.

At the 4 hour mark of the session, an Undead Boss will spawn in a tomb in the center of town. If the Human players kill this boss, they will complete this Objective.

    Undead Objectives

    Undead Objective: Corrupt 250 Wildlife

    Location: Wilderness

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Undead Players will also receive 3 Upgrade Points and 5 Corruption Points.

Both Undead Players and Undead Creatures qualify as able to attack wildlife and corrupt them in order to achieve this objective.

    Undead Objective: Destroy 4 Stockpiles

Location: Town and the Human Outpost

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Undead Players will also receive 3 Upgrade Points and 5 Corruption Points.

There are five total Stockpiles : four Stockpiles in town and one Stockpile located at the Human Outpost. Undead Players and Undead Creatures must destroy any four of these in order to complete the objective.

    Undead Objective: Kill Town Civilians

    Location: Town

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Undead Players will also receive 3 Upgrade Points and 5 Corruption Points.

While Human Militia and Civilians will continuously spawn out in the wilderness, Human Civilians in town will not respawn. If Undead Players or Undead Creatures kill the vast majority of them, they will have completed this Objective.

Undead Objective: Slay the Human Champion (The First Ranger)

    Location: East-Southeast corner of map

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Undead Players will also receive 4 Upgrade Points and 5 Corruption Points

At the 2 hour mark of the session, a Human Champion will spawn in the wilderness east by south-east of town. If the Undead Players or Undead Creatures kill this champion, they will complete this Objective.

Human Objective: Slay the Human Boss (The Fort Commander)

    Location: Center of Town

Reward: Upon completion of this objective, all Undead Players will also receive 5 Upgrade Points and 5 Corruption Points

At the 4 hour mark of the session, a Human Boss will spawn in the center of town. If the Undead Players or Undead Creatures kill this boss, they will complete this Objective.

    UOACZ Rewards, Unlockables, and Achievements

When a session has ended, players currently in the UOACZ world are sent back to Britain and their normal items are restored. Any player who scored a total score (Human Score + Undead Score) of 25 points or more receives 1 UOACZ Reward Point. The player who had the highest total score of the session receives 1 additional UOACZ Reward Point.

Players can double-click the UOACZ session stone at the West Britain Bank to view scores for the Recent Session that ended, each player's all time Top Session score, or their Lifetime Cumulative Totals for UOACZ. A score listed in green is a character from your account. Since UOACZ is account-based, the name of the character listed for each entry on this scoreboard is the last character each player was inside the UOACZ world with on their account.

On the "Rewards / Unlockables" page of the UOACZ Stone, players can spend their UOACZ Reward Points, manage UOACZ Unlockables, and acquire Survival / Corruption Tomes in the normal game world.

At the end of a UOACZ session, each player's Human and Undead profile are reset to the starting stats / skills / monster tier level and their Upgrade Points / Survival Points / Corruption Points are returned to the normal starting amounts.

Players can actually use Survival / Corruption Tomes in the normal game world before the next UOACZ session starts and can spend those starting amounts to make upgrade purchase / form changes and preempetively plan out to a small degree what type of type of Human / Undead character they will play next.

In the normal game, players will occasionally come across UOACZ Unlockable Deeds as rare loot on monsters. Players can double-click these deeds to make these items as items the player starts with when a UOACZ session starts (they will drop into the player's green Survival Box). All clothing types and mask types are available as potential Unlockables, and there are also a large number of normal and unique color dye tubs that appear as Unlockables as well.

Players can view the UOACZ Unlockables they have acquired in the Rewards / Unlockables page, and can click and chose which Unlockables they wish to start the next UOACZ session with. Note: players can only have 1 clothing item per clothing layer active at a time and may only have 1 dye tub selected at a time. Players can click the arrows below the item listings to navigate to multiple pages of items.

There are over 80 Achievements possible in UOACZ, with some fairly simple to accomplish and others requiring a great number of sessions of participation to complete. Each UOACZ Achievement in the description window will also describe whether it is an achievement that must be completed while as a Human Player, an Undead Player, or in either form.
